Camp Mode kit
What makes the boot a bedroom.
Night one needs nothing but a duvet and a sense of humour. Everything below is what turns night one into a habit, in the order it earns its place. Nothing on this page is sponsored, and nothing gets listed that we wouldn't pack ourselves.
Model Y mattress
Purpose-cut for the flat boot floor. The single biggest comfort upgrade, because a folded duvet does not survive night two.
Window covers
Blackout and condensation control in one. The difference between a nap in a car park and an actual night's sleep.
Levelling ramps
Campsite pitches are never flat, and you notice a two-degree slope at 3 a.m. Two ramps and a spirit-level app.
Awning
Doubles the living space when it rains. This is the UK: it will rain.
Canopy
Hooks over the open tailgate and makes a porch: dry boots on, kettle out of the rain. Tesla's official one fits 2020–24 cars, which is exactly the used end of the market we shop in.
Camp furniture
The boot is the bedroom, so the furniture has to vanish when you do. Helinox chairs and tables pack down to loaf-of-bread size and still hold a person full of campsite dinner.
