Sleep in the car.
Charge only at Superchargers.

Iconic UK routes, great campsites, and one rule that designs everything: no charging at camp, ever. A campsite hookup is 2.3 kW of false hope; a Supercharger does in 25 minutes what a hookup does overnight.

One night's arithmetic. Rule 01 exists because of it, and camp is ⚡ 17 min from the Penhale Supercharger.

The doctrine

Every campsite gets one score: minutes to a Supercharger.

Routes follow the Supercharger spine; campsites are picked for how close they sit to it. The score is on every campsite card and every route stop. When it climbs past 30 minutes, you charge before you pitch.

  1. RULE 01

    Arrive at camp with 30%+

Camp Mode burns about 15% overnight on our numbers. Land below 30 and you're doing battery maths at 2 a.m. instead of sleeping.

  2. RULE 02

Charge to 90% before any dead zone

The Lizard, the NC500: when the Supercharger map goes quiet, top up before, not after.

  3. RULE 03

    Charge midday, not evenings

Evening queues are where good moods go to die. Lunch is the charging hour: plug in, eat, leave at 90%.

And when Superchargers alone can't cover a route, there'sthe Wildcard: exactly one non-Tesla rapid charge allowed. One route needs it. Playing it is the drama.

Three trips, one spine each.

Every cost box ends the same way: the whole trip costs less than one night in a Windermere hotel.
